THE DEATH ZOO

Surabaya zoo is one of the largest zoos in Asia and has a reputation as one of the most inhumane zoos in the world. Located in Indonesia, the animals are found in emaciated conditions with many covered in open sores. They have an extremely high death rate with many animals cut up and sold into the wildlife trade once they have passed on. There are many animal rights groups attempting to have this "zoo" closed down.
